Paradae A Musical

Date: Thursday September 24 - November 15, 2009
Time: Tue. - Fri. at 8:00 PM ; Sat. at 2:30 PM & 8:00 PM ; Sun. at 1:00 PM & 6:30 PM
Based on the true  story of Leo Frank,  convicted for the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan in Atlanta, Georgia,  in 1913, Parade recounts the press frenzy  and public outrage about Frank’s trial, and his wife’s crusade for justice.  Amid religious intolerance, political injustice and racial tension, this  stirring Tony Award®-winning musical explores the endurance of love and hope  against all the odds.

Featuring  a powerful score by the award-winning composer of 13, Parade is “one of the  most thrilling evenings of a theater-lover’s lifetime.” —Christian Science  Monitor

T.R. Knight, formerly of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,”  will play Leo Frank, with Lara Pulver reprising the role of Lucille  Frank in the story recounted in “Parade.” Knight is known to TV audiences as  George on the ABC series.  He appeared on Broadway opposite Patti LuPone  in the 2001 revival of “Noises Off,” as well as in “Tartuffe” and received a  Drama Desk nomination for his role in off-Broadway’s “Scattergood.”   Pulver received an Olivier Award nomination for the role in London’s Donmar  Warehouse production of “Parade” and currently appears on the BBC series “Robin  Hood.”

The cast also  includes, in alphabetical order, Brad Anderson, Michael Berresse (Obie   Award-winner for his work as  director/choreographer of “[title of show]”), Will Collyer, Broadway’s Charlotte  d’Amboise (who was nominated for a Tony Award for the role of Cassie in the  Broadway revival of “A Chorus Line” and is known to L.A. audiences for the role  of Roxie Hart in the first national tour of “Chicago”), Karole Foreman,  Davis Gaines, Laura Griffith, P.J. Griffith, Curt Hansen, Deidrie Henry, Christian  Hoff (Tony Award-winner for his role  in “Jersey Boys”), Sarah Jayne Jensen, Lisa Livesay, Hayley Podschun,  David St. Louis, Rose Sezniak, Phoebe Strole, Josh Tower and Robert Yacko.
