80th Birthday Celebration

Eighty years ago, on April 20, 1929, the construction of our magnificent Julia Morgan-designed Riverside Art Museum building was completed thanks to the contributions of Riverside citizens and construction financing by three then-prominent local banks - Security Savings, Citizens National and First National Bank.
Since that time, she has served as a home to the Riverside YWCA and the Riverside Art Museum. As the Riverside Art Museum (RAM), she is now the center of arts and art-related educational activities in Riverside, with over 50,000 visitors, and quality exhibitions and youth and adult educational programs each year. And, because of all that "hard work", she needs a little "R&R" (respect and renovation)! All proceeds from the event will go toward needed building repair and renovation.
Please join us in celebrating her 80th birthday at the Riverside Art Museum, on November 12, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We promise you it will be an exciting evening with music, wine tasting from a variety of popular wineries, culinary delights from our Riverside Fine Dining Group, and an opportunity drawing for two-days in a Cambria cottage and tour of Hearst Castle.
